REPENTANCE

When people hear the word repentance, they often can get pretty triggered.  Whether it's on a billboard on the interstate or some self-righteous person has the audacity to point their grubby finger in someone's face...It all seems a bit damning and dark.  But repentance is actually a great step we can take of coming to God and recognizing the things in our lives that are guiding us the wrong way and give us the proper steps to take for living in a way that pleases God.  There is nothing wrong with recognizing our own wrongs and pointing them out to ourselves, right?  Well, if that's the case what's wrong with pointing out our sins to God?  Or better yet...How about when God points out our sins to us?  Either way if you're just starting to know God or have been walking with him for some time now then you know that repentance is a wonderful thing.  When we repent of our sins we not only grow in our relationship with God and others, but we are more useful for God to use for others because we bring life to people.

FAITH (Put on some God britches and see if they fit).

I was approached by a friend that told me that "I should do a show on faith."  Although there will be many more shows on the topic, I wanted to expand a bit on a personal story that I have between me and this friend of mine.  We both were put in an extremely difficult situation that was meant for good, seemed awful when the pressure rose, but in the end because of prayer, faith and the goodness of God things really came through for the both of us.  So many of us in life feel backed into a corner and we feel there is no way out of the mess that's all around us.  Though the situation in this story I not only learned how to walk deeper in faith, but also truly hand things over to God and wait patiently for him to deliver the result.

ACTIONS

During the stretch of this episode, I touch on some sensitive subjects that may just hit the nerves of some traditional folks in the Church.  I mainly deal with how we think and process things in our minds and then how we choose to turn those things into actions.  The past few episodes have been on what we choose to be our aroma (or vibes as some may say) when we are around others.  Then I moved into thoughts (the battlefield of the mind) and how we deal with ourselves internally.  This episode is on our actions which is the laid out evident groundwork that is the paved road we travel for all to see.  It's what comes out of us and how we choose to live.  Are we doing good to and for others, or are we tearing others down?  What are your actions?

THOUGHTS (The Big What If’s)

In this episode I dive into the inner self or as some would call it "The battlefield of the Mind."  I aim to be more self-improving, moving along through life with God on my side while keeping in mind the things that I struggle with on the inside that I feel are always trying to keep me far from living right.   Have self-doubt always surfaces the most when I'm trying to do the right thing.  I call those doubts "The Big What If's."  This battle is very real and it's a continuous thing to deal with every single day.  This episode is primarily geared towards people that have destructive strongholds (ruts in the mind) and those that battle addictions, and depression.   

AROMA

Have you ever reeked of something?  Maybe you smell like where you've been, but more importantly maybe you reek of how you feel or the way that you're living currently.  Well, you can always tell that someone has had too much to drink sometimes before they even say a word because they reek of alcohol.     But some folks reek of evil, hate, depression, and stress, or joy, peace, and hope.  What is your aroma that flows from your presence?  In this episode I speak of how we go about our lives and how the good and the bad affects us all and how we deal with those ins and outs personally to the point of how it affects others.  I also share personal testimonies of my own and a couple of friends that contacted me when I needed it most.  They were there for me and I was there for them.  As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

There is Power in a Name Part 2

Here is the final episode of a two-part series of There is Power in a Name.  In this episode I go into further detail of my two heroes.  Wrapping out the finishing touches from the first episode about Jesus and how he connects things in my life that really help grow my faith in leaps and bounds.  Then I move into the second hero of mine containing the story of the birth, life and Death of my daughter Evangeline (Lina) Joy Ray.  It's such a powerful story.  Our names can truly be what define us as everything that we are.  There's proof in that through Jesus name, and there's proof in that through my daughters names that are mentioned in this show.  This show was a tough one to do, so I hope that these stories bring you some hope and encouragement.

There is Power in a Name Part 1

I recently felt moved to do a two-part series called "There Is Power In A Name."  Reason being is because I have two heroes for many magnificent reasons, and I also have some strange stories that explain why these two heroes of mine exist.  These stories have helped develop my faith a long time ago and also just as much today.  This show (or series of shows) is built on the verses of James 1:2-4.  Enjoy!

Is Jesus Just Your Janitor?

In this episode I dig a little deeper into pursuing God using the verses of Philippians 4:6-7.  I play clips of people I'm finding on TikTok as well as clips of my pastors' sermon that are strongly connected to pieces and memories of my life that I needed to fit together.  I needed to fit these pieces together to find and understand the deeper things of God that allow me to walk with him daily and understand that he's always there.  From the Janitor at my elementary school way way back in the day, to the current huge hole dug out in my street right in front of my driveway... Do I see God through it all? Or can I turn away and ignore the obvious?   But the strong evidence to me clearly is GOD IS ALWAYS THERE IN EVERY SINGLE PART OF OUR LIVES.

Be Strong and Do the Work

In this episode I dive into the word just a bit heavier than I have been doing in the past.  The point of the episode is bringing into action the part of the verse in 1chronicles 29:10 where it says "Be Strong and Do the Work.  I tell stories of personal recent encounters I've had as well as others that are really motivating me to become a better person in regard to being sensitive to the things of God.  I also dive into the importance of personal devotion and prayer which is a simple task when pursued daily, opens up mighty things every day that God is pursued.
